My Goalkeeping Career

1989

I joined Ittihad FC

In 1989, I joined Ittihad FC in U10 grade, then I moved up to U15 grade until 1993.

1994

Ascension to youth grade of Ittihad FC

In 1994, I was promoted to the Ittihad FC youth team, and this continued until 1997. Then coach Dimitri Davidović brought me to to First team support in due to injuries to the first team’s goalkeepers.

1997

I Joined to first team

In mid-1997, I officially joined the first team and was a reserve goalkeeper and a member of the team that achieved 3 championships in one season (the Trilogy of the Century), until I played my first starting match in 1998.

1998

Starting goalkeeper and I won the best player in the match

I played my first match as a starter under the leadership of the Brazilian Coach "Paulo Campos", against Al Nassr FC in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup. The match ended in a 0-0 draw, and I was honored with the best player award in the match

1999

Joining the Saudi national team

After my first match against Al-Nassr FC, I was directly selected for the Saudi U-19 team in the 1999 Asian Cup qualifiers in Lebanon, and our National team in first place.

1999

Achieved 4 championships in 1999 with Ittihad FC

In 1999, I was one of the members of the Ittihad FC team who contributed to achieving 4 championships in one year, including winning the Asian Cup Winners’ Cup in Japan.

2021

Move to coaching

To continue my passion, I went from a goalkeeper to a goalkeeping coach certified by the Saudi and Asian Federations, capable of growth and developing to enable generations of rising goalkeepers to lead their teams to championships, Allah willing.
